Sony to Explore Manufacturing Own Processors

Sony has had plenty of success with its image sensors, which are market leading in their sector. The company could now be tempted to spread its component wings with a report today suggesting that the Xperia manufacturer is interested in making its own processors. Sony would be following in the footsteps as other mobile brands Apple, Samsung, Huawei, and LG. Digitimes out of Taiwan (admittedly with a patchy track record) says that Sony is looking to follow a similar path to the main players in the industry. Fortsätt läs..

En telefon som förmodas vara Sony Xperia 5 V har påträffats i ett benchmarkresultat på webben. Enheten har beteckningen XQ-DQ72 och erbjuder friska 16GB arbetsminne. Mobiler har förvisso haft så mycket RAM många gånger förut, men det är samtidigt dubbelt så mycket som i Galaxy S23 och S23 Plus.

Sony har skeppat fler än 32 miljoner PlayStation 5

Respektabelt Sony meddelade i veckan att de nu har skeppat över 32 miljoner enheter sedan konsolen släpptes 2020. Som vi tidigare rapporterat så påstår Sony att de har fått rätt på produktionen och att det framöver inte kommer vara lika svårt att få tag på en konsol längre. Om det kommer göra någon stor skillnad återstår att se i årets kvartalsrapporter.

Sony Honda Mobility teasar sin första elbil

Tim Cook besöker Sony

Apple bekräftar att de använder kamerasensorer från japanerna I en tweet skriver Apples vd Tim Cook, som är på ett besök i Japan hos Sonys anläggningar, att företaget samarbetat med Sony i över ett decennium för att skapa "världens ledande kamerasensorer för iPhone". I tweeten tackar han även Sonys vd Kenichiro Yoshida för rundturen i Kumamoto. Trots att vi tidigare vetat om att Apple använder komponenter som utvecklats med Sony, har Apple aldrig själva faktiskt bekräftat det, utan nämner annars endast specifikationer som upplösning, bländare och synfält.

Nu är det Xperia-ägares tur att få Android 13

Ett inlägg på Reddit hävdar att Android 13 nu är på väg ut till Sony Xperia 1 III, Xperia 5 III och Xperia Pro-I. Enligt kommentarer till inlägget har Sony dessutom uppdaterat Xperia 1 IV till Android 13, vilket bör innebära att senaste Android även är på väg ut till Xperia 5 IV. Sony ”tillkännagav” Android 13 för årets toppmodeller Xperia 1 IV och Xperia 5 IV i början av november, men meddelandet var helt intetsägande.

Den digitala revolutionen påverkar många aspekter

När vi pratar om den tekniska revolutionen som stort så är vi snabba med att ta upp vad den gjort för att förenkla människornas vardagsliv. Vi har nu maskiner som gör småsaker för oss som att göra kaffe ur en kapsel, dosera rätt mängd av tvättmedel beroende på hur mycket tvätt vi lägger i tvättmaskinen och vi har även en automatisk dammsugare och gräsklippare. Vad många dock inte lägger en tanke på är hur den digitala revolutionen gynnat spelmarknaden så mycket så nu förtiden blir vi nästan trötta på att se alla reklamer för onlinekasinon som går varma dagarna i ända.

The HTC 10 is a very appealing smartphone, and it is now available in unlocked form in the United States, with the company saying it will arrive next week. The handset will ship during the week and it is excellent news for customers of AT&T. While Verizon and Sprint have confirmed the HTC 10, the second largest carrier in the country said it will not be carrying the smartphone.

Let’s look at the last quarter, which was the fourth of 2015, including the Christmas period, and was the first in which the company’s new Windows 10 Mobile platform and related handsets were launched. That seems like a recipe that could lead to some breakout success, after-all more consumers splash the cash during the holidays and Windows 10 Mobile is excellent, while the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL flagship are pretty spiffing too.
