Verizon and T-Mobile have already done away with contracted smartphone subsidizes and many other carriers are expected to follow suit eventually. That’s not necessarily good news for flagship manufacturers as consumers may find them harder to purchase. Samsung is now apparently working on an upgrade lease system, just like Apple’s recent model. Yes, Apple already went there with its iPhone Upgrade Plan that was unveiled at the iPhones 6s launch event two weeks ago. Fortsätt läs..

Apple verkar experimentera med något sådant Igår presenterade Apple två nya modeller av Apple Watch vilket vi skrev om lite här. I samma veva dök det även upp information om ett nytt Apple-patent som kanske kan göra framtidens smarta klockor från Apple ännu mer användbara. Apples patent "Tactile output for wearable device" beskriver ett system som skulle kunna visa brailleskrift eller annan information med punktskrift på olika Apple-produkter.

Nya Apple Watch Series 6 kommer med U1-chip - 16 Sep 20 kl. 09:20

Lås upp bilen med klockan Apple är lite hemliga med sitt U1-chip, de stoppar in det i fler och fler saker men pratar inte så mycket om det. iPhone 11 fick chipet förra året men det används helt ärligt inte till speciellt mycket saker i dag. I framtiden kommer det dock att användas mer, bland annat för att låsa upp bilen.

Nya iPads, nya Apple Watch, Apple Fitness+ och Apple One Igår kväll presenterade Apple lite nya grejer och som brukligt nu för tiden skedde detta via ett online-event som sändes från Apple huvudkontor i Cupertino. Det handlade dock inte om nya iPhones då Apple kommer att lansera dessa på ett separat event lite längre fram. Igår visade Apple upp två nya Apple Watch-modeller, den nya Apple Watch Series 6, som är försedd med en funktions som kan läsa av användarens syrenivåer i blodet, samt den lite billigare Apple Watch SE.

Träna med Apple Det har sedan ett tag tillbaka ryktats om att Apple hade någon slags träningstjänst på gång och under dagens presentation så presenterade Apple sin nya tjänst Apple Fitness+. Apple Fitness+ är en tjänst som erbjuder en lång rad olika träningspass som kommer att bli tillgängliga via iPad, iPhone eller Apple TV. Har användaren tillgång till en Apple Watch kan hälsodata från denna integreras i träningspassen som visas på skärmen och efter varje träningspass får användaren en sammanställning över detta.

Apple släpper Apple One - 15 Sep 20 kl. 19:45

Ett abonnemang för typ allt från Apple Apple One är abonnemanget för den som gillar Apples tjänster. Det finns tre olika nivåer för Apple One. I grundabonnemanget ingår Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Music och 50 GB på iCloud.

Affären är nu stängd... Idag kommer Apple att köra en presentation där det kommer att visas upp lite nya grejer från gänget i Cupertino. Vad som ska visas är inget Apple har avslöjat ännu men av förhandsspekulationerna att döma så kommer det inte att handla om nya iPhones.

Får vi se det beryktade paketabonnemanget på tisdag? Allt mer talar för att Apple kommer offentliggöra sitt paketabonnemang för sina olika tjänster på sitt jippo tisdag. Detta abonnemang sägs heta Apple One och bestå av olika paket som kan innehålla Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple News+, Apple Arcade samt en träningstjänst som Apple ryktas lansera snart.

Epic Games-konton blockeras inte från Sign in with Apple - 11 Sep 20 kl. 14:20

Nya bud! Igår uppgav Epic Games att det inte längre skulle gå att logga in på Epic Games-konton via Apples login-funktion "Sign in with Apple", något som man nu backar från. Apple uppgav redan igår att man inte kommer att hinda någon från att logga in på sitt Epic Games-konto via Sign in with Apple.

Musik, tv, spel, nyheter och träningspass i ett och samma abonnemang Förra året började det ryktas om att Apple hade ett paketabonnemang för sina olika tjänster på gång och nu verkar det som om detta kan vara på väg att lanseras snart. Det har tidigare ryktats att Apples "megaabonnemang" skulle heta Apple One. Det är referenser till detta i Apple Music-appen som gör att många nu misstänker att Apple står i startgroparna för att lansera ett abonnemang som inkluderar flera av Apples tjänster.

Apple Dominates Enterprise Activations in Q3

Apple is continuing to make significant strides in the enterprise market and through the third quarter of this year (June 1 to September 30) the company was responsible for 66% of all enterprise devices activated. The company’s iOS platform, which includes iPhones and iPads, led the way in the market and rose 2% compared to the 64% enterprise activations in the second quarters. Interestingly Apple made the most headway in the tablet market, with the company’s iPad accounting for 71% of all enterprise slates activated in Q3.

Apple continues to sell huge amounts of iPhones, despite missing optimistic analyst prediction the company is thriving and making vastly more money than any other mobile brand. CEO Tim Cook was in good mood after Cupertino’s fiscal fourth quarter earnings call, saying the company is taking the fight to Android and starting to make serious headway in China. Cook claimed that a massive 30% of all iPhone sales in the last quarter came from consumers who were switching to Apple’s iOS from Android.
