Samsung Working on Apple Style Upgrade Lease System

Verizon and T-Mobile have already done away with contracted smartphone subsidizes and many other carriers are expected to follow suit eventually. That’s not necessarily good news for flagship manufacturers as consumers may find them harder to purchase. Samsung is now apparently working on an upgrade lease system, just like Apple’s recent model. Yes, Apple already went there with its iPhone Upgrade Plan that was unveiled at the iPhones 6s launch event two weeks ago. Fortsätt läs..

Smarta hem-system ska konfigurera sig själva Patently Apple har kollat igenom ett nytt patent från Apple som beskriver ett system som på egen hand skulle kunna upptäcka och konfigurera nya prylar som installeras i det så kallade smarta hemmet. Tanken bakom systemet är att användare själva ska slippa, det ibland lite krångliga och tidsödande arbetet, med att passa in nya prylar i sina smarta hem-system. Apples system skulle automatiskt kunna upptäcka om en ny pryl dyker upp i det smarta hemmet och konfigurera denna beroende på vilken typ av pryl det är och var i hemmet den är placerad.

Apple ansluter sig till FIDO Alliance

Med en förhoppning om att vi kan slippa lösenord i framtiden Apple har nu anslutit sig till branschorganisationen FIDO Alliance vilket innebär att vi i framtiden antagligen kommer att kunna logga in på fler sätt utan lösenord på iPhone, Mac-datorer, appar och annat som Apple tar fram. Det går redan idag att logga in på vissa av Apples prylar utan att ange ett lösenord, bland annat iPhone och Mac-datorer där man loggar in med FaceID eller TouchID. Det finns även möjlighet för Apple Watch-användare att logga in på sina Mac-datorer utan att använda lösenord.

Samsungs reklamfilmer för Galaxy S20 och Z Flip

Samsung presenterade icke mindre än fyra telefoner under gårdagen: Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra och den flexibla Galaxy Z Flip. I vanlig ordning har Samsung publicerat en mängd reklamfilmer för nyheterna. Fokus ligger på Galaxy Z Flip som figurerar i en handfull klipp, medan Galaxy S20 Ultra har fått en längre introduktionsvideo som hävdar att enheten erbjuder ”en kamera som förändrar fotografi”.

MKBHD snackar lite Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

Lite tvekis Samsung presenterade en stor mängd hårdvara under gårdagen, men den mest intressanta enheten var Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. MKBHD lade vantarna på luren under gårdagens event för att kunna leverera lite första intryck och nu har en sådan video släppts. I videon berättar Marques att luren är tveklöst den mest välpolerade vikbara telefonen hittills med kalastrevligt gångjärn, men det största problemet är fortfarande vecket och på grund av telefonens form så verkar vecket vara mer störande i Flip än på Fold.

Samsung visade reklamfilm för Galaxy Z Flip på TV

Samsung visade en reklamfilm för icke tillkännagivna Galaxy Z Flip under nattens Oscarsgala. Videon ger en fin titt på den flexibla telefonen – Samsungs svar på Motorola Razr. Designen hade dock redan avslöjats genom en rad läckta pressbilder.

Rykten om trådlösa hörlurarna Samsung Galaxy Buds+

Samsung förväntas att utöver Galaxy S20-trion även introducera de trådlösa hörlurarna Galaxy Buds+ under sitt evenemang 11 februari. Enda förbättringen i nya upplagan ska vara utökad batteritid. Batterikapaciteten sägs ha utökats från 58mAh till 82mAh.

Apple TV-appen kommer till LGs 2019-modeller

2018 kommer senare i år Många så kallade "smarta" tvs är inte så smarta och de är sannerligen inte snabba på att uppdateras. Det har pratas länge om att Apple TV-appen skulle komma till LGs tv-apparater och nu finns den där, i alla fall för de med modeller från 2019. Så nu kan man kolla på Morning Show och det andra som finns på Apple TV+ utan en Apple TV.

Samsung Galaxy Home Mini kommer kanske till butik

I alla fall i Korea Samsung har visat upp både Galaxy Home och Galaxy Home Mini men ingen av dem har börjat säljas. Nu verkar det som att den lilla till slut kommer till butik, i alla fall i hemlandet Korea. Om detta stämmer börjar de säljas 12 februari och kommer att kosta drygt 800 kronor.

Apple släpper rätt cool reklamfilm för Arcade

Kom in i världen Sedan premiären av Apple Arcade har man släppt lite spel då och då, men nu verkar det vara dags för en reklamkampanj också. Huvudnumret är reklamfilmen ovan där vi får träffa några spelare som verkligen har svepts in i spelens värld. Man släpper även ett litet klipp med Hero från Oceanhorn 2.

Apple is continuing to make significant strides in the enterprise market and through the third quarter of this year (June 1 to September 30) the company was responsible for 66% of all enterprise devices activated. The company’s iOS platform, which includes iPhones and iPads, led the way in the market and rose 2% compared to the 64% enterprise activations in the second quarters. Interestingly Apple made the most headway in the tablet market, with the company’s iPad accounting for 71% of all enterprise slates activated in Q3.

Apple continues to sell huge amounts of iPhones, despite missing optimistic analyst prediction the company is thriving and making vastly more money than any other mobile brand. CEO Tim Cook was in good mood after Cupertino’s fiscal fourth quarter earnings call, saying the company is taking the fight to Android and starting to make serious headway in China. Cook claimed that a massive 30% of all iPhone sales in the last quarter came from consumers who were switching to Apple’s iOS from Android.
