Nvidia Launches New Shield Tablet

Nvidia has raised the curtain on its new Shield Tablet K1 today, a follow up to the original K1 gaming oriented slate that arrive last year with bags of power. This time out Nvidia has trimmed some fat to achieve a very appealing cost of just $199, and for that you are really getting a lot of tablet and excellent gaming performance. Compared to last year, the new slate is $100 cheaper than the original K1 although there are not huge changes here, so this sequel is really Nvidia cutting the price and adding some extras. The company has only launched a 16GB Wi-Fi model so far, but don’t be surprised to see a LTE version with more native storage arrive down the line. Fortsätt läs..

Nvidia presenterar AI Foundations

AI-verktyg för att skapa text, bild, video och 3D-modeller Under gårdagen höll Nvidia en stor presentation vars huvudfokus var artificiell intelligens. Företaget presenterade bland annat något som man kallar för AI Foundations, ett gäng med molnbaserade verktyg som kan användas för att skapa texter, bilder, videofilmer och 3D-modeller med hjälp av generativ AI. Verktygen som ingår i AI Foundations kallas för NeMo, avsett att skapa texter med AI, Picasso, som används för att skapa bilder och videofilmer, samt BioNeMo vilket kan användas inom till exempel medicinsk forskning för att ta fram 3D-modeller för att utveckla läkemedel.

Nvidia presenterar DGX Cloud

Ger tillgång till artificiell intelligens från superdatorer via en webbläsare Nvidia är ett av de företagen som är i framkant när det gäller artificiell intelligens och igår visade man upp lite nya grejer för företag som vill använda AI i sin verksamhet. Förutom ett gäng med olika AI-verktyg så presenterade Nvidia DGX Cloud, en molntjänst som ger företag tillgång till kraftfulla superdatorer specialiserade på AI-utveckling direkt från en webbläsare. DGX Cloud är specifikt framtaget för att företag ska kunna träna upp olika AI-modeller med hjälp av superdatorer och Nvidia skriver om tjänsten: "DGX Cloud provides dedicated clusters of NVIDIA DGX AI supercomputing, paired with NVIDIA AI software.

Counter-Strike: GO 2 verkar vara på gång

Om man ska tro NVIDIA Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) är ett av de mest spelade spelen på Steam varje månad trots att det nu är mer än tio år gammalt. Om man ska tro på några filer från NVIDIA:s senaste drivrutiner så verkar det som att spelet snart ska få sig en uppföljare. I dessa filer kan man nämligen hitta referenser till något som heter csgos2.

Dell uppdaterar XPS-serien med nya processorer och grafik

Med 13:e generationens Intel Core och NVIDIA RTX 40-serien Dell uppdaterar sin XPS-serie, som inkluderar XPS Desktop, XPS 15 och XPS 17, med 13:e generationens Intel Core-processorer och NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-grafik. Nya XPS Desktop kommer utrustad med upp till 13:e generationens Intel Core i9k-processorer och upp till NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 eller AMD RadeonRX 6900 XT-grafik samt DDR5-minne. Chassit uppgraderas med en aluminiumram och ny frontgrill i två nya färger, Graphite och Platinum.

Nvidia visar upp nytt uppskalningsverktyg

RTX Video Super Resolution fungerar i Chrome och Edge Nvidia släpper idag nya GPU-drivrutiner som ska kunna förbättra gamla suddiga videor på RTX 30- och 40-seriens grafikkort. RTX Video Super Resolution fungerar med Chrome och Edge kan förbättra videor mellan 360p och 1440p så det istället får upp till 4K-upplösning. Tidigare har denna 4K-uppskalningendast funnits tillgänglig på Nvidias Shield TV.

Nvidia lanserar GeForce Now Ultimate

Streama spel drivna med RTX 4080 Nu har Nvidia börjat rulla ut sitt nya medlemskap GeForce Now Ultimate, där prenumeranter kan spela spel drivna med RTX 4080. Nvidia skriver på sin hemsida: "Ultimate-medlemmar får automatiskt åtkomst till nästa generations prestanda i GeForce RTX 4080-klassen som de första när servrar blir tillgängliga. Spotify verkar se sådär ut på Android TV just nu

Problem med skalningen Spotify är ju bland de största musikstreamingtjänsterna och finns lite överallt, även på Android TV. Den appen verkar dock inte fungera särskilt bra för lång användare just nu. Flera användare på Reddit, Spotifys forum och 9to5Google klagar på att Spotify inte skalas ordentligt på en mängd olika Android TV-enheter, inklusive 4K Chromecast med Google TV och NVIDIA Shield TV Pro.

Nu hjälper Nvidia dig att hålla ögonkontakt

Med ny version av Nvidia Broadcast Nu har Nvidias streamingmjukvara Broadcast fått en ny AI-funktion som ska hjälpa dig att hålla ögonkontakt med kameran – eller ja, det ska åtminstone se ut som att du håller ögonkontakten. Funktionen ersätter dina ögon med "simulerade" ögon som alltid är riktade mot din kamera. Du kan se hur effekten ser ut ungefär halvvägs in i klippet ovan.

Den digitala revolutionen påverkar många aspekter

När vi pratar om den tekniska revolutionen som stort så är vi snabba med att ta upp vad den gjort för att förenkla människornas vardagsliv. Vi har nu maskiner som gör småsaker för oss som att göra kaffe ur en kapsel, dosera rätt mängd av tvättmedel beroende på hur mycket tvätt vi lägger i tvättmaskinen och vi har även en automatisk dammsugare och gräsklippare. Vad många dock inte lägger en tanke på är hur den digitala revolutionen gynnat spelmarknaden så mycket så nu förtiden blir vi nästan trötta på att se alla reklamer för onlinekasinon som går varma dagarna i ända.

The HTC 10 is a very appealing smartphone, and it is now available in unlocked form in the United States, with the company saying it will arrive next week. The handset will ship during the week and it is excellent news for customers of AT&T. While Verizon and Sprint have confirmed the HTC 10, the second largest carrier in the country said it will not be carrying the smartphone.

LG G5 Launching in Canada, Landing April 8

LG has been quiet regarding the specific launch date of the G5 flagship, the modular designed smartphone that wowed us at the Mobile World Conference back in February. However, the company has now moved away from an “early April” timeframe and has said the G5 will makes its debut on April 8 in Canada. Sure, Canada is a strange launch nation, but we expect LG will update with other region launch dates that either match the Canadian roll out or even come before it.

Microsoft has always struggled to become a major player in the mobile hardware market, and it seems no matter what the company does changing the situation may be impossible. Let’s look at the last quarter, which was the fourth of 2015, including the Christmas period, and was the first in which the company’s new Windows 10 Mobile platform and related handsets were launched. That seems like a recipe that could lead to some breakout success, after-all more consumers splash the cash during the holidays and Windows 10 Mobile is excellent, while the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL flagship are pretty spiffing too.

It looks like the company is conjuring another all-out masterpiece spliced with high end design and leading specs, the Galaxy S7 may also be at the higher limits of battery life expectations amongst its rivals. Eldar Murtazin, a solid source who typically nails rumors accurately, suggests that the Galaxy S7 will be offering 17 hours of video playback, or at least that is the number Samsung will be touting when it outs the S7.
