HTC 10 Landing Unlocked in US

The HTC 10 is a very appealing smartphone, and it is now available in unlocked form in the United States, with the company saying it will arrive next week. The handset will ship during the week and it is excellent news for customers of AT&T. While Verizon and Sprint have confirmed the HTC 10, the second largest carrier in the country said it will not be carrying the smartphone. While that could change in the future, the only way to get the 10 on AT&T at the moment is to go with an unlocked device, which will cost $699. Fortsätt läs..

VR-utvecklare verkar gilla den Häromdagen visade HTC Vive upp en ny tracker för VR-upplevelser och nu har man låtit några VR-utvecklare kolla in den lite närmare. På den stora spelutvecklingsmässan GDC 2023 som pågått den här veckan fick några utvalda VR-utvecklare kolla in och testa HTC Vives nya, än så länge namnlösa, tracker. Trackern kommer att gå att använda tillsammans med både HTC Vives egna VR-headset såväl som andra VR-produkter som har stöd för VR-standarden OpenXR.

HTC Vive visar upp ny VR-tracker

Som själv håller koll på var den är HTC Vive har visat upp lite av en ny VR-tracker vilken ska gå att använda för att följa en användares, eller andra objekts, rörelser i VR-upplevelser utan några andra tillbehör. Vives nya VR-tracker har än så länga inte fått något namn och visas primärt upp för att ge VR-utvecklare en möjlighet att börja fundera på hur den självföljande trackern skulle kunna användas i VR-upplevelser. Det ska vara möjligt att använda upp till fem stycken enheter av den nya trackern samtidigt.

HTC verkar vara på gång med nytt VR-headset

Som verkar bli lite smidigare att ha på huvudet Nästa vecka kommer Meta att presentera sitt senaste VR-headset Meta Quest Pro och inför det teaser HTC att även de har ett nytt VR-headset på ingång. På Twitter har HTC Vive, HTC:s vr-division, postat en bild som visar en del av deras kommande VR-headset samt texten "Go small or go home.".

HTC visar upp sin vision för metaverse

Viverse är ett hopakok av verklighet och fantasi HTC är ännu ett av de företag som hoppat på det så kallat metaverse-tåget och här kan ni kolla in en slags vision som HTC har för det. HTC kallar "sitt" metaverse för "Viverse" och där går det att i AR och VR ta del av olika virtuella världar och upplevelser. Det handlar dels om att få information om vardagliga uppgifter, till exempel träning via AR.

I vissa länder är oönskade samtal ett problem. Pixel-telefoner i USA har rentav en funktion som gör att ”robocalls” automatiskt kan nekas. Google-assistenten kan dessutom fråga vem som ringer och varför, så användaren kan välja huruvida de vill acceptera samtalet eller inte.

Tested tar en titt på HTC Vive Pro 2

Bra, men dyr HTC presenterade Vive Pro 2 för några veckor sedan och Norman Chan från Tested har fått möjlighet att testa headsetet ordentligt för att se vad det har att erbjuda. I videon ovan får vi reda på vad han tycker om headsetet och hur det står sig mot andra VR-headset på marknaden. För att göra en lång historia kort verkar Vive Pro 2 vara riktigt vasst med lite förbättrad bildkvalitet, men priset är lite svårt att svälja.

5K-upplösning och 120 graders FoV! Idag har HTC dragit igång VR-festen Vivecon 2021 och inlett festligheterna med att presentera inte mindre en två nya VR-headset som är på ingång. Vive Pro 2 och Vive Focus 3 heter de senaste tillskotten och den stora uppgraderingen i headseten är nya paneler med 5K-upplösning och synfält på 120 grader som ska göra VR-upplevelsen riktigt uppslukande.

Och lyssna på hur det låter på Mars Igår kväll körde NASA en livesändning där man snackade lite mer om den lyckade landningen av sin rover Perseverance på Mars förra veckan. Där visade man bland annat upp ett videoklipp som är det första som någonsin spelats in när en farkost landar på Mars. I klippet ovan kan ni kolla in lite av bilderna från landningen och landningsplatsen vid Jezero-kratern på Mars där Perseverance landade.

HTC presenterar Desire 20 Plus

HTC har presenterat en ny telefon i form av Desire 20 Plus. Enheten kommer sannolikt inte till Europa, men eftersom det blivit så pass sällsynt med nya mobiler från HTC är den ändå anmärkningsvärd. Desire 20 Plus erbjuder en 6,5-tums LCD-skärm med 720 x 1600 pixlar.

När vi pratar om den tekniska revolutionen som stort så är vi snabba med att ta upp vad den gjort för att förenkla människornas vardagsliv. Vi har nu maskiner som gör småsaker för oss som att göra kaffe ur en kapsel, dosera rätt mängd av tvättmedel beroende på hur mycket tvätt vi lägger i tvättmaskinen och vi har även en automatisk dammsugare och gräsklippare. Vad många dock inte lägger en tanke på är hur den digitala revolutionen gynnat spelmarknaden så mycket så nu förtiden blir vi nästan trötta på att se alla reklamer för onlinekasinon som går varma dagarna i ända.

LG G5 Launching in Canada, Landing April 8

LG has been quiet regarding the specific launch date of the G5 flagship, the modular designed smartphone that wowed us at the Mobile World Conference back in February. However, the company has now moved away from an “early April” timeframe and has said the G5 will makes its debut on April 8 in Canada. Sure, Canada is a strange launch nation, but we expect LG will update with other region launch dates that either match the Canadian roll out or even come before it.

Microsoft has always struggled to become a major player in the mobile hardware market, and it seems no matter what the company does changing the situation may be impossible. Let’s look at the last quarter, which was the fourth of 2015, including the Christmas period, and was the first in which the company’s new Windows 10 Mobile platform and related handsets were launched. That seems like a recipe that could lead to some breakout success, after-all more consumers splash the cash during the holidays and Windows 10 Mobile is excellent, while the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL flagship are pretty spiffing too.
